Rhododendron keiskei Miq.
Japanese: ヒカゲツツジ (日陰躑躅) [Hikagetsutsuji]
This yellow mountain rhododendron comes into bloom as the more abundant R. tashiroi finishes blooming. It seems to be more common at elevations of 1,000 to 1,500 meters.
